Learning new things is a pleasure, but excelling at something you already know but not as a professional is a euphoria. Hello, I’m Prabhat Kumar, a Data Science enthusiast, but fortunately or unfortunately I didn’t get a chance to study these subjects (maths and stat) beyond my engineering or finance subjects. I studied algorithms, data mining, machine learning, and data science in college (in VIT Vellore), way back in 2003-07, worked on neural network programming from scratch in C++ and presented dozens of papers in National Level Symposiums.
But destiny was something else, I was hired for manual testing and later got into automation too. Studied Finance as CFA, and from IIM Calcutta and became a business analyst too. But what’s next?

In my previous organization, I requested to get into Data Science core jobs but I was helpless to the rigid policy. But what makes me happy today is that I have qualified a tech stack for “Data Science” and “Machine Learning” related job organized by Turing.com.

I have in some way proved that learning at my VIT college, experience in the data science team at MBB labs, and my personal study of Machine Learning from Columbia University and other courses at Coursera have made this possible.
With expertise in data science and with fabulous knowledge of financial variables, the top job that I can target is related to complex financial modeling in banking, risk finance, and derivatives which are indeed close to my heart.
I would like to thank turing.com for giving me such a platform where I could access my knowledge of machine learning, data analysis, python, SQL, and data science, of course.
Indeed such a warm experience writing tests at turing.com
