Gandhian principle is always appreciated at Meri Madhushala

Here, Gandhiji is always respected and the Gandhian principle to fight injustice is appreciated at Meri Madhushala, as we talk about the Gandhian principles, Satya and ahimsa come to the surface. Yes, truthfulness in all our approaches and nonviolence in all our endeavors to progress in our life is the key takeaway from Gandhiji. In fact, 100 years ago, it was more difficult to fight with the weapons like ‘Satya and ‘ahimsa’ but nowadays, a common man can easily get himself or herself adopted to these principles.
As Gandhiji once said, truthfulness and non-violence will not work in one day, it is something as it works if we are consistent and adaptable to circumstances to get these principles satisfied all the time. He often quoted – if someone slaps you in one side of the face, offer him to put away another slap on another side of the face. This looks ridiculous and does not fit the normal action-reaction chemistry. But it has a long-lasting effect. It may be ridiculous but in long run, you may win someone’s heart and you will get what exactly you want without hurting the opponent, it’s psychology, it’s not physics or chemistry.
While comparing the Gandhian principle with what we follow at Madhushala, I say truthfulness is differently designed, i.e. one thing which is true for one person or community could be an illusion to the other person or community and vice versa. It’s all because there are so many overlapping facts, religious and scientific thoughts, availability of data that claims to be fact may be partially available to different people and communities. Hence, there is nothing called absolute truth unless it can be absolutely published to everyone. Non-violence can be inspired by the “Lage Raho Munna Bhai” movie and can be practiced by all civilians without a question. My personal thinking says that speaking even irritating or harsh words can be fatal, refrain from talking in loud voice or even with anger. Forget about abuses and illicit words, hurting anyone speaking harsh words or by using any violent means will make the social relationship pathetic. To the greater violence, like the one followed by military forces, an eye for an eye will make the whole world blind. Let’s refrain from physical war.
Yes, we can have healthy debates and good logical arguments to decide the winner. Democracy is the ultimate power, let’s vote for truth and non-violence and for the betterment of the majority, and the upliftment of the minority.
